Welcome to Texas, or Tejas, was the Spanish pronunciation of a Caddo Indian word meaning "friends" or "allies."
Texas is called the "Lone Star State" because of the design of the state flag: a broad vertical blue stripe at left centered by a single white star, and at right, horizontal bars of white and red.

The weather up here is mostly sunny, a breeze is easily felt on the more flatter areas of the country, however later on during the evening the temperature drops around ten or fifteen degrees. Tornadoes happen maybe every few months, and heavy rainfall is often enough, maybe every week and a half to two weeks.

[ ]Housing Requests
If you character needs a home, then this is the board to come. But please remember will do not tolerate any spamming, so unless your character is actually going to use the board for their house then please do not apply for one. Make sure you use the form submitted in a locked/sticky thread and fill it out correctly. Please also remember this is realistic, and some average citizen who works in the grocery store is not going to be living on a expensive estate.

[ ]Pregnancy Board
This is where you must come in order for your character to become pregnant. It seems there has been a 'rage' of people getting pregnant and having children but everything is perfect, unfortunatly not everything is. So come here and the application which is in a sticked/locked thread will depend on your skill of role play and the plot you have.

City Life
[ ]Horseshoe Lane
Horseshoe Lane is a major, and the main street in all of Dallas; its a two way street with wide sidewalks along the multiple little shops on the sides of the road. Everything is nicely kept- flowers are watered, no garbage, no graffitti and there is a lack of bird droppings. Horseshoe Lane is a safe, healthy place where you can wander downtown and pick up whatever you need.
00
[ ]Emergency Services (3 sub-boards)
The fire, police and ambulance all have a great repuation and can do what they are meant to do without fussing around a load like in other areas of this state; the police make sure the criminals are locked up behind bars, they're not happy unless they sort things out, the ambulance drivers and paramedics also do everything they can to make the sick better, and the firefighters are sure to extinguish any fires of any size caused by anything. All services can be reached by dialing 911 and informing the operator what service is needed.
00
[ ]Dallas Casino
Dallas Casino is owned by the city itself, and with that it one hell of a casino. Its decorated brightly with expensive lighting and furniture, a lounge is also available for the public along with a bar and eatery. The rings and beeps of the machines, people winning and people loosing, cheers and angry arguements are and will always be heard here throughout the casino. People loose thousands and people win thousands- Dare you gamble?

[ ]Cohen Public Park
A large but quiet and calm park that you can wander around, have a picnic in or hold a meeting in the shaded grass that grows under the large, old trees. A large fountain of which children are allowed to play in, and you can sit by and read a book is located in the center of the park.

[ ]Back Streets (1 sub-board)
A run down and grungy part of this busy city, backstreets and alleyways littered with homeless people, hookers, prostitues and their pimps, and drug dealers. This is the one place you don't want to be unless you're looking for low-cut sex, drugs or trouble. Dog fights are also featured in an abandoned warehouse.
00
[ ]Crator Lake
Crator Lake is located on the very outskirts of the city; it was created by a large asteroid thousands of years ago, of which left a giant crator and eventually filled with water. The "lake" is ideal for watersports, swimming, fishing and boating and has a white-sand beach situated around half the lake. Its a nice place to come to when the weather is nice or if fishing season is in. A large dock is anchored in the center of the lake for anyone willing to swim a mile out to it or boat out to it. Also, three fairly decently-sized shelthers with picnic tables are posted in case it storms unexpectedly. Its also in walking distance to nearby campgrounds.

City Residential

All houses have 4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, are two stories, have an open foyer, formal Living & Dining rooms, Covered Front Entrances, Elegant Master Suites, Large Open Kitchens, multiple windows, and are all a stylish European design.
00
[ ]Smaller Housings

00
[ ]Apartments
A tall, large white-wash stone building with a balcony, kitchen, bathrooms, living rooms and one bedroom for each apartment. There is a public pool in the back of the apartment building, open from the hours of 11AM-6PM for residential usage; these are the kinds of housing that aren't so expensive.
00
[ ]Down-town Studios
Studio's are single-floored apartments, that are set closely to one another and at times are like semis- attacted.. They have one or two bedrooms, are cheap with a smaller kitchen, dining and living rooms are larger along with a small bathroom. Cheaper than apartments, but some are actually qutie nice, even in the dumpier places.

[ ]Ranches (4 sub-boards)
The country side in Lone Star State has many upon many of different style ranches. Most of these which stand out are some type of business. Now these ranch from Cattle Breeding to Horse Breeding and Sheep Breeding to Alpaca breeding. These ranches are many businesses altogether throughout the country side and are some of the best. These ranches are rather industrial or very beautiful. Many just ride down to them and around them to take a peek when one is nosey.

[ ]Dakota Ranch
Dakota Ranch has beautiful top floor views from the ranch over the area of the lake, yet it is an half an hour horse back ride away. This ranch is a full business ranch run by the Taylor Family. Sarah Taylor runs the stud and breeding while Cole Taylor runs the cattle ranching.
Here is where the equine vetting for all animals takes place. The ranch has a converted barn for the center, which is run and operated by Grace Taylor. This is where you come to get all 'vet' subjects and appointments done.
The ranch is beautiful and big, with over 50 acres of land for the cattle and horses to roam on, as well as free access to the wild hills for the cattle. This is the family home of the Taylors so feel free to drop by on anything other than business trips.
00
[ ]Campgrounds
Many people associate the country-side with holidays and camping. In Lone Star Country there is a wonderful Campsite. This is for campervans and tents. With sources of running water, restrooms, washing rooms and elecricity mains it is perfect for anyone wanting to get away from the busy life of the city and just relax alongside nature.
00
[ ]Farms
These Farms are somewhat different to the ranches in that they infact have many different types of Animals, mainly farm animals such as Pigs, Cows, Donkeys, Goats, Chickens and grow a lot of crops in the fields to harvest and use at the market. There are also Farms here which are open to the public and make a fantastic day out with the animals, especially for the children.
00
[ ]Livestock Arena's
These Arenas are used for all sports with livestock such as Cattle and Horses. There are a whole bunch of arenas down in the 'valley' of the country side which are a good half an hour ride from the main city itself. These arenas include bull riding arenas, bull wrestling arenas, bronc arenas, barrel racing arenas and general riding arenas. They can be used openly by the public and they are fantastic socialzing points for people. These arenas have stands for when country shows are held.

[ ]Fairgrounds
These are what everyone travels for. This is the beautiful active fairground of Lone Star State. It is open everyday but Mondays and Wednesday, and is open for a full day on sundays. There are rides for everyone, including children who want a go on the merry-go-round or thrill seeking big wheels for the adults. Get food from the food carts, candy and soda and if you dare go onto the Waltzers afterwards. Can you stomach this place? Fantastic and fun, is the only description for this place. Aprox. 20 minutes from the city.

[ ]Dakota Lake
Dakota Lake is a good thrity minute or so drive or walk from the city itself. But once you get here it is worth the travel. As soon as your eyes fall upon the beautiful scenery and surface of the lake you can see why it is considered such a valuable place to Lone Star State. Its beautiful waters means it is safe for people to swim in and use as a leisure complex. Its perfect for long walks around it, a day out or just somewhere to come and think. A stunning place with real natural beauty.

[ ]Biking and Hiking Trails
These Biking and Hiking Trails are not just for Bikers and Hikers, they are perfect for general dog walking and hacking on horse back through the beautiful country-side that Lone Star State has to offer. These trails can be as long as a mile or thirty miles. There are hundreds of trails, all attaching and leaving, most are mapped but some haven't been discovered yet or are generally not on the map. When the winter comes in there is a service called Mountain Rescue which patrol the area in an helicopter in case of sudden injuries from the weather etc.
00
[ ]Drive-in Theatre
This Drive-in Theatre is just like those they had in the 60's when it was hip and in for you to bring in a car and watch a movie while making out with your partner. This drive-in is much more updated and modern, but still as popular. There are many films running here, just drive in, grab your ticket on entrance and then sit back and watch the Movie unless you want to get out and grab some popcorn and soda from the nearest food cart.

Country Residential
[ ]Estates
This Estates are just that, beautiful, large, luxurious estates for the rich. These estates are spread throughout the country side for those rich people who want the quiet life style. The Estates range from beautiful five bedroomed mansions to hotel style homes. These are the very expensive homes.
00
[ ]Rural Housing
The Rural Housing out here are general town houses out in the country side, many are together on a lane, you will very rarely find one on its self(detached) as that would be considered as an Estate. These beautiful houses are usually small but beautifully modernised and a great place to live if you want somewhere quiet. These are just general priced.
00
[ ]Farm Houses
These Farm Houses are not considered Estates as they have many out buildings for the animals which they keep upon their land. Farm houses do not have much land, therefore not considered Ranches but they generally have a pasture or two to put out the sheep and cattle. The houses are never huge, usually at an average of Three bedrooms. They are not too expensive but will cost more than a Rural House.
